OK folks..... for those of you who arent familiar with it...... some of the UKGSers are trying to do a charity fundraising thing for Calums Road....

here http://www.ukgser.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=345

Well, I am one of the peeps signed up to try to raise 2 grand to get materials for the local menfolks in Gambia to build their own Calums Rd.

I intend to ride my GS from Ireland to Calums Rd Gambia (via Calums Rd Isle of Raasay, Scotland).... but am trying to get £2k worth of materials for the locals before I go.

So, the quite famous..... almost hit the big time.... Chicago Blues band, The Pontiax.... have agreed to do a charity fundraising gig in Carrickfergus on 26 Sept in aid of the charidee. Tickets are in the process of being printed at present.

The Pontiax are a cracking blues band...... remind me of the Committments..... and are opening the Belfast City Blues Festival.

Today, Ciaran, the lead singer, offered me a signed premiership football and jersey as auction prizes if I could guarantee him 50 bums on seats at a free gig in Belfast during the afternoon of Sat 29th August in Belfast.
