I fancy increasing the popping and burbling effect you get from the 1200 but at the moment cannot stretch to an Akra or even fork up the £300+ for a Remus item, (buying the bike and other factors have interfered).

I live in Halifax and I know Beowulf Performance products are also based there so I thought I'd have a look to see what they had on offer.
I have absolutely no connection with them in any way by the way.
I have used components from them before, (I built my own 'race' cans from a spare set of standard items for my R1), and found the components to be of excellent quality.

They will sell you either standard length (450mm) or 'stubby' (380mm) and they are very reasonably priced. You can have a stainless can, (all stainless internals and fittings), for £145; a titanium can for £195; and a carbon fibre one for £200; all including stainless link pipes. They seem like great prices to me.

Has anyone on this forum used Beowulf cans before and if so, what were they like? I know you generally get what you pay for but it could be the difference between getting a can now or waiting until such times as we have another pot of cash spare, (unless I buy another bike again).

What are your thoughts?

I am picking my f800gs up from them tomorrow with the new exhuast fitted
will post some pictures when i get bike back and also i think its going to be fitted with the rad guard
they looked very nice
he told me they are abit louder than the standard can you can also remove bafflle to

more info to follow

i had a Beowulf exhaust on a old cbr i had, Great it was, never caused a problem and not too loud with the baffles out either :thumb2

Beowulf don't appear to have a website :(

Can't remember where I got this photo from, but it's one of their 'Warrior' cans which they do for the 1200GS

I had a pair of oval stainless Beowulfs on my now sold SV1000sz. Build quality seemed ok, however both baffles (riveted) did come loose.
What I can tell you is that these cans were LOUD and that was with the baffles in. Sounded bloody great though.:D

cans

hi
the price of these cans are great, around £200 ,:)would not mind one myself ,stainless stubby 380 mm , with a removable baffle too... ..;) how can some of these manufactures charge a price of £400 plus is ridiculous, they are only a hollow tube after all with a sleeve inside and packing and a baffle in the end to take more noise away . :clap. the original exhaust BMW barge anchor has a lot of work in it and is heavy, not to mention even getting a price for one if you drop it .whhaaa .. so looks like i might try one out shortly :clap..
the v twins are horrendous on cans ,power pulses give them a hard time , a old rsv i had a few years back went though to cans in no time ,one was a micron ,blew it to bits ,had to pack it regular and the other ,loads of dosh arrow did not last any longer either ,did sound good with no packing in . soon found out who had a car alarm in the road .nobody ever walked out in front of you in town . so end of the day i would be quite happy to put a £200 quid can on opposed to £450+ can with a posh name .and plus if you scratch or dent it ,just get another ..
