At last, I have bought a nice red GSA :)

Problem is that I now want to fit a sat nav but don't have the funds to go for what is obviously the best option (Zumo 550 or 600) and so I'm considering (if only temporary) to buy a clamp and charger and mount my non-waterproof Nuvi 360 that I've had for a couple of years.

Has anybody done this? is it a dumb move? and is it possible to buy a lead that plugs from the GS power socket under the beak to a Garmin?

Opinions, suggestions most welcome.
Thanks

You can fit most things.. so if ask how to mount the nuvi 360 on to a 12GS/GSA, then

Cradle: RAM-HOL-GA21
Mount : RAM-B-149ZA with short arm
Power source: other than the ciggy lighter charger with inline socket added, look at Q~Power lite series or CLC04B or short cable length is CLC04BS

Hi RAM-man

:eek:Earily I was just about to order a RAM-HOL-GA21U and a RAM-B-149ZU to mount a Garmin 350 on an 800gs. Got the parts numbers from the selection wizard. Be grateful if you could let me know whether these are the right parts.

Thanks.

The handlebars are 28mm tapering out to 25mm as I recall, so yes, RAM-B-149Z or short arm option RAM-B-149ZA with RAM-HOL-GA21 cradle and to power look at CLC04BS (short lead for 800GS) which is sold by gpsw.

Thanks. I have a BMW cigarette lighter lead to plug into the 800gs socket so I thought that would also work for power?

my friend bought a non waterproof tom tom complete with euro maps for £99 for his trip to italy this year and just put it in the map pocket of his tank bag no problems and my other friend who came to croatia with us paid about sixty pounds for the euro maps for his tom tom rider :blast
