Going off for an adventure :bounce1 hopefully in September and looked at sticking a sump guard on, touratech one seems to come in 2 parts, one for the sump and an extra bolt on bit for the oil filter, seems an after thought, anyone know of any decent one piece ones available?

it's the weekend :friday

I fitted the BMW skid plate to my F650GS and have transferred it to my F800GS. One piece solution, works fine.

Been thinking about one too however spending a ton - not so sure. Then again, i don't adventure ie i shan't be dropping a couple hundred kilos on mine!

I think the TT idea is good as it would appear the rubber mounts often shear off when they're removed and are £25 - £30 a set, so as long as there's a sump plug cut out the plate wouldn't have to be removed every oil change.

There was a thread about someone who was looking to make some and everyone put in their ideas of what they'd like. Not sure what happened in the end but it would certainly be a good place to start.

Best,

I have the BMW one it works for me :thumb2 (the TT tool box clips on the front if required acts like a crud catcher)

As you can see by the diagram only 4 nuts and 1 bolt and its off in seconds,
allowing servicing and cleaning :D I like the bike looking like this >
