i am looking for for a chain lubrication system, have thought about scottoiler but was wondering if anyone can recommend any other product...

any ideas welcome, thanks.

chaintech did one based on movement, better than scottoiler, but i dnt think they do em now, avoid electric uns,the scottoiler is a very good product,id buy another, used one or 3 yrs,but my 15 yr old chaintech is cleaner,,,chain really does last 3 times longer

Look here: http://chainoiler.co.uk/index.html

Cheap, simple and efective

best luck

Loobman works well, but is a little fiddly to fit, the end bit is a bit heath robinson, it was so fiddly, that i used a scottoiler dual injector kit on the end, as said dont use the electric ones like the Lubetronic, they are difficult to fill and difficult to know how much oil is in them, scottoiler is good, but buy 5 litres of chainsaw oil from your local farm supplies shop :augie

I've used Scottoilers on several bikes and always been happy with them...a good investment as long as you take the trouble to install them well, set them up right and re-adjust to take account of different conditions/seasonal changes. Keep the bike long enough and it'll pay for itself in extended chain and sprocket life.

Sorry, that's not really a response to your question.........but I'm a fan of Scottoilers :thumb

Great fan of ScotOiler, but only for a road bike. If you're going to be doing regular offroad, particularly in sandy/gritty/dusty conditions, oil is not the way to go as you'll get your own custom chain-grinding paste. For offroad bikes, use a dry lube like Profi. :thumb

My personal favourite chain lubrication system is from Pro Oiler.

I know the guy who developed the system and have used one on my previous chain drives and it does exactly what it says on the tin, perfect chain, without an oily back wheel.
