Best Looking Exhaust?

Some time ago I started a thread to seek advice on purchasing a titanium Remus Hexacone end can but got no feedback, possibly because it was a fairly new product with supply problems so there weren't many about. I'd already been impressed with a Remus Revolution on my previous 1150 so I raided the piggy bank and went ahead. My personal opinion is that it's the dog's doo dahs. Yes it's lighter and throatier, but I'd also go as far as saying it's the best looker. I know, there's a degree of personal opinion here, but take a look at the photos and if you disagree, "show us yours.....".

I should add that I really like the look of the standard exhaust and seriously considered opening mine up and ripping its insides out. But it's still a bit on the big side.

It's a very nice looking can but it strikes me that it would look better if it followed the line of the lower sub frame :augie

As for 'show us yours'...well, here you go :D

Thumbs up for the Remus :thumb2

Looks a lot better than the Revolution I have on my 1150

GS only please.....

By "show us yours", I was thinking of like by like comparisons i.e. systems only for the GS. In other circles there would be a requirement to post pictures of a partners of a specific gender for example.

Anyway, getting back to the original posting, if we introduce different bikes we get into issues of colour (Mmmm?); ugly greasy things attached to rear sprockets; and logos that aren't the epitome of Germanic minimal elegance.

Sorry for not making in clear that I'm looking for wives/girlfriends..........oops, sorry wrong chatroom! It's BMW1200GS only.

I think its a great looking exhaust - and £100 cheaper than the BMW/Akrapovic one!

I've got the chrome finished BMW exhaust. Like you said, I think its a good one and 'fits' into the bike nicely - esp. the bit at the front where it hides its bulk behind the pillion foot rest hanger, but I do think the Hexacone looks better.

Does anyone know the performance gains using a Hexacone together with the Remus Header Pipes?

Cheers,

Mike

I know I've seen a twin-can underseat system for a 12 before now but couldn't find the thread - my new bike was the closest I could find :augie

Oh and there is always this thread

:D

That's a gorgeous looking pipe for sure. Being a remus too, you know its going to go the distance too.
I assume by the shape they work without amendments with the BMW standard panniers ?

Do you mind me asking how much it cost?

I got it from a BMW franchise so my warranty wasn't affected. They even price-matched an on-line supplier at £650 but I had to fit it myself.

Yep, it was £650 it was for the end can and headers. Sorry for not making it clear. And the end can's fine with Vario panniers.

Hey Fixinbones, I think you've answered a long-running query of mine. I couldn't quite decide which way the "L" shaped protector went that fits on the mid-section just below the end can. I put mine facing upwards which, having seen the way yours is fitted (downwards), was clearly wrong. Maybe I was trying to protect mine from falling objects? Now where's my hex socket?

Two Brothers +1 :D :thumb :D :thumb :D:D:D:D:D I have one of the said exhausts and it is superb, plus it's not the as common as the usual suspects :augie OH and the SOUND It's like a Stuka with all guns blazing :mcgun:mcgun on the over run. :bounce1:bounce1:bounce1 V-Happy with mine :thumb

I can recommend Yoshimura but maybe they have a minimum bhp requirement :augie
