Any suggestions folks? :)
Wondering where the best wiring connection point would be on the 1150 for my new auxilliary lights. At the moment I have them attached directly to the battery with loop style terminations on the bolts. Adequate but untidy. Is there somewhere that would be more tidy and secure? Can I connect into the Auxilliary socket feed? As they are now a permanent fixture I would like to do a quality job.
Advice appreciated :beerjug:

Take an ignition switched feed from the fuse box (yellow and brown IIRC but a quick search here under 'autoswitch' or any on BTBR's excellent posts on light installation will confirm that) and then take that to the NO (Normally open) terminal on a 30 amp 12v relay (terminal 86 on an ISO relay).

Then take some 20 amp cable from the battery, through an inline fuse holder with an appropriate fuse and take that to terminal 30 on the relay (its supply) then out from terminal 87 (the normally closed terminal) to the feed to the spots.

Terminal 85 goes to earth.

Don't wire them direct...for one thing, you might end up bypassing the load dumping relay which may well mean that when you depress the starter button, the lights won't get cut out and you may have starting problems /ABS checking problems....and there's no way the supply to the accessory socket will be enough to power decent spots- the fuse will pop everytime you try and turn them on.
