As the title says I thought I'd asked the more informed as I don't have a clue about these things.
I need to get something for my upcoming trip with Hatcho this summer.

I have a nav 4 unit
I don't need one with cameras as I have an innovv set up.
I do however need a big screen as I'm half blind even with glasses
Cheers

Probably best to get an eye test. If you can't see with glasses, that should concern you.

Fcuk off
10 helmet owner
11 pairs of boots
7 drones
55 action cameras
33 pairs of gloves
Enough under armour , base layer to cover the pitch in Croke fcuking park
3 bikes
One of which is a coffee, cauppicno, pint of Hino, man bun, school bag, shoulder bag wearing metro serial fcuk wit Bike.
Now rev up and fcuk off with your coffee shop loyalty card

No I can see i just want a bigger screen that's all but not a television

A mate has the crapuride one and he's well happy. He has no clue about technology and can navigate his way round it.
Should be easy anyway as it just mirrors his phone

There is a new model, the W702Plus that only needs the phone for the local wifi connection as it has GPS reciever and Android in-built (install your nav-app). Has cameras though.

Sorry, only spotting this now. Was out grabbing a loka-moka-chino at the popup café. Then I stopped off for a grilled tofu and smashed avocado brioche. Totes awes- balls.

Wouldn't surprise me if you did all that 😁

Cheers lads for all the advice.
I'm looking at this the aoocci c7. Bloody big screen which is what I want. I just have to check how and where I can mount it on the bike.

Just check if it blocks the top of the TFT.... Some 7" screens are very square and tall and obscure the TFT .Others more "wide-screen" and seems to fit better.

That ridernav R7M looks to be a good form factor.

Hi lad,

The best bang for buck at the moment with a big and clear screen is the RiderNav R7M. You can check out my review here and also, feel free to compare it to other devices in my playlist.

Hope this helps

With the RiderNav unit, you'll need to have Nav prep (mounting cradle) already fitted to the bike. I don't believe, but am open to correction, that the nav cradle on a 1200 air cooled GS (Nav4) is compatible with the RiderNav. Plus without a wonderwheel, a lot of functionality will be redundant. Best option would be to go for a non BMW specific unit.

I’ve a nav 6 there €300

It won't fit the nav 4 prep cradle if it's got buttons down the side.

Cheers lads for the help and advice. I pulled the trigger on the aoocci C7
Trinitron screen 😀 for a 134 euros can't go wrong. Has good reviews so we'll see.

I also liked the 7 inch. The screen is very sharp and the 7" is excellent for seeing the map at a glance...
Now that we're not 20 anymore and our eyesight is starting to fail!

C7 fitted have to say it's the dogs undercarriage. Haven't used it in anger as yet. Will report back when I do
