Best waterproof and warm boots?

Waterproof Boots

I bought a pair of Sidi Tour Rain boots about 10 years ago. They have received a total lack of love and care and yet they're still totally waterproof. Best of all they are so easy and quick to put on and take off. I will definately be sticking with Sidi when I replace them.

Not a recommendation, but a handy tip. My Sidi Couriers used to leak like sieves. A couple of coats of "Waxoyl" fixed that (leave overnight then buff up). Now nice and dry, warm and very comfy :thumb2

I like my Sidi Adventure GoreTex boots, but I wouldn't have said they were particularly warm in the depths of winter.

Alpinestars Toucan, very comfy, plenty of protection, 100% waterproof and Ghost Bikes at Preston are selling them about £230. Well worth a look.

Ahem !!.....after riding back from Brands Hatch yesterday in biblical rain, it appears my previous claim is bollocks :blast
Only my Sealskinz saved the day :comfort

My moneys on Daytona Road Star GTX Gore-Tex at the moment, anyone have these to comment? Anyone got a better idea before I splash the cash?

Those are the ones I use, and I can't recommend them enough.:thumb

Bought some unbranded Aqua Boots on ebay, had them for years, used for commuting all year round. Warm & never had wet feet (no zips or Velcro) :thumb2

Daytona gore-text over ten years old over 80,000 miles. Still dry as bone . Can be repaired too. Come back as new boots (which they probably are)

TCX

I'm a 43 in most footwear but a 44 in TCX Infinity. Had them just over a year and not had wet feet yet. It has been a good summer though.

Daytonas here too:thumb2. On my second pair of Roadstars. First pair did about 9 years, still waterproof, but soles worn out, gear change pad falling off and zips undo themselves. But they must have done 60-70k over the years. Not worth repairing, costs more than a new pair, so I just bought new.

Also have the Std Evo's, bought for track days, but now only used for holidays.
Wife's got a wee pair for pillion riding, and Ladystars for when she rides.

+1 with Sweeny Todd ... don't waste your money on anything else .... may not be the prettiest or the most fashionable boot but they will never let you down .. unlike most of the other shite I read about out there.

No such thing as a waterproof boot (not forever) over 27 years tried all types of boot Alpinestar GorTex lined Daytona GorTex lined after a few years they all leak, that's if you ride in the all weathers, best solution, find a pair of boots you like and in the bad weather wear a pair of sealskin socks waterproof and warm.
