Beta Xtrainer300

Brilliantly easy to ride bikes, I had a day on one at the Mick Extance experience last year and it was a hoot. They arent without their foibles though, electrics need covering in dialectric grease and the fueling was off on the bike I had so ended up swapping it for another. They are so light that you can take them down daft inclines without worrying about it slipping away from you and generally dick about on them like a kid.

It also has a pseudo key system which I saw as a plus compared to a keyless enduro bike.

After a fairly tough outing on my bike with the TRF a couple of weekends ago I'm still looking at smaller bikes, but wonder if I'd regret not going for something more full size like a Gasgas EC300 (which is admittedly more expensive).

That sounds like a hoot. Oh how I miss 2 strokes!

The tiny tank could be an isssue using it as a green laner. Otherwise, yes!

Popular in TRF
* They have a smaller main frame than full enduro bikes and as such, are good for shorter riders
* Watch the crank main bearings though
* Switch to premix though and throw away the auto lube - which may have some bearing on point 2 above

Apart from that they are good bikes and Beta UK provide excellent back up
