Thought I'd get a post up to see what the larger taller rider is wearing and the best place to get it. I struggle a lot getting kit to fit as I'm larger than most...

I'm hoping that some of us will benefit from others experiences. I'm 6'8" tall with a 35" inside leg 38" waist, 48" chest and long arms! (centre of neck to wrist is 37") and for completeness I weigh in at a featherweight 18 stone.

The most comfortable kit I had that fitted really well was my old (15 years ago) Hein Gericke Tuareg suit. It was awesome size 56/58 used to fit perfectly and great service out of the local shop in Cardiff. I've now got some Furygan Kit the Rocky Jacket and Coldmaster Pants which are both xxl. Both fit reasonably well are great in both cold and warm conditions however I could do with an extra in in length on the Pants.

Bike leathers were worse and had to get made to measure from Dainese which in the end was money well spent. Textile kit is never made to measure so always a bit of a challenge.

How does the BMW kit compare to others any advice greatly appreciated.

I know that some will do a Linda Blair over this suggestion. Why not try Rukka, they do longer trousers and jacket's for the fuller figured man about town.

Good post! I'm 6'5" with relatively short legs but a long back. Consequently any bomber style jackets are a complete no no.

scott leathers do a couple of made to measure textile suits, and the name escapes me now but there is another leather maker who does one as well.

I'm 6'-4" - maybe a bit more on a good day, 18 stone, so not built like a racing snake. I'm currently using a Rallye 3 suit which replaced a Rallye 2 Pro which I keep as a backup. Trouser size is 118, that's up to a 35.4" inside leg - which is perfect, and jacket is size 60, but I would get a size 114 jacket next time as the sleeves are a fraction too short for me.

Can't really fault the Rallye 3 combo - it has been tested to the limit and if I was going to replace it I'd either get another or have a good look at the soon to be released Rallye 4?

Previously, I also used Hein Gericke's Tuareg original jacket and it was so good I bought another when I wore the first one out (still have both and they seem to be becoming a bit of a cool item).

Not overly impressed with the price and recent quality issues on Rukka, but that's only what I've read, I have no personal experience. The jackets seem to be on the short side generally is my impression and there appears to be main zip issues.
