Bike Cam - which one?

Camers

I have a Roadhawk mounted at both front and rear and with a decent card they can be left untouched for ages if bike powered although I do format them once a month. If they are to be used for evidence gathering then they are ideal as once fitted they simply come on with the ignition. They can be discreetly hidden due to their size.
I also fit a GoPro for filming but it stands out like a sore thumb and so remove it when leaving the bile, often forgetting to put it back on its mount

Do you think they are going to come up with a camera the same size and quality that you get in phones nowadays , incorporated into a helmet with maybe just the fish eye lense just above the visor. Or even another lense backwards facing.?
It cant be that hard nowadays.

I've got the Innov C3 fitted to my GSA, It was OK at first but on a recent trip to Morocco this year it started playing up, don't know if it was the heat or if the battery is on its way out but it would stop working after 40 minutes or so, and the head unit was getting quite hot.
They have brought out a new version, with twin cameras but it has a much larger head unit with a screen on it (pointless in my opinion) and much higher price.
I may try to get hold of another C3 with the capacitor instead of the battery and see if that lasts a bit longer.

I have used an Innov C3 (Capacitor model) for the past year, apart from one corrupt card all OK.
Its is mounted above the head light / below the bottom of the screen. ( the screen is raked back with DIY adjusters giving sufficient gap)
I glued a domed 22mm watch bezel over the lens so sheds water ok and ran a fibre optic cable from the unit to the dash so I can see when its running. ( the recording head is under the seat) does about 5 hours recording on a 32gb card and runs in a loop.
Discreet fit and forget camera.

I've read on other forums that the C3 is prone to overheating.

To Carlo 4.. I have the 120 degree lens on the bike, it is mounted so it has an uninterrupted view out the front, picture quality is fine, just wish it was more reliable.
