I need a new bike chain.. pref a long one.
I did have a copy of RIDE mag with a review of about twenty or so chains but cannot find it.

So what are the recommendations? I want something bloody good..

I am also looking for a wire (as it a chain prob wont fit through the drz frame spaces) that is pretty good too.

Cheers John..

Only really good one to have is from Almax
http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk

They are heavy in weight but that is the price you pay for good security.
They do several models, lengths, padlocks etc so give them a call to discuss. They are a freindly couple (husband 'Alan'(?) and wife 'Maxine') and will give you good advice. Website has some deals at the moment but tell them what you are after and they may well do a deal with you.
There are a couple of other companies selling Almax chains aswell so if you find these cheaper go back to Almax and mention it to them. They will do you a better offer and will speak to the other dealer as the agreement that they had was not to outprice one another. This was the case a year of so ago when I bought my series 3.

Ordered.. and UKGSER deal..

Just spoken with the lovely Maxine, the Max part of Almax.

Got two new chains on their way :thumb

And a free chain bag. So if you want a chain, give em a call and mention the UKGSer site and you will get a free chain bag.

Lovely folks to deal with.. and orders before 3pm ship same day for next day delivery.

John

Kreiger

Oh forgot to say the lock bag/chain bag they are doing for free is by Kreiger (typo)..

Rocks, don't panic buy, I should be able to sort you out with some free chain or a wire sling.
Let us discuss it during the weekend.
T.
