Not having the luxury of a garage I have been using an Oxford bike cover which has done well over the years.

Trouble is .... this keeps melting on the down pipes and now looks like a patchwork quilt. :(

Can anyone recomend a bike cover that has an element of not melting on the pipes?

IMHO I cannot recommend any bike cover....Just to be controversial and excite debate

Used to leave my K100RS outside all of the time in all weathers and no probs whatsoever- till I purchased a canvas type cover and immediately rust started appearing overnight.

I reckon any covers keep relative humidity and heat extremely high resulting in rust. I would need convincing that the latest fabrics are any different.

Same applies to garaging wet cars/bikes IMHO :D

You probably have a point there mate,

I tend to use the cover to keep prying eyes of my ride as I live on an estate where there have been bikes nicked or vandalised. I know a cover dosen't stop it but it makes me feel better knowing its covered up when i'm kipping.

Try www.dbcovers.co.uk

Large Tourer fits a GS with panniers etc.

I've had one for 12 months. It's breathable and can be put straight on a hot bike.

I support Mike P's recommendation. I posted a similar enquiry a few weeks back and followed his advice to get a db cover. It's great. Thanks Mike. :thumb
