Hi
I was looking into visiting my sister in Prince George BC next year. Can anyone recommend a good company to hire a bike so I can do a little touring/travel ? Was thinking starting in Vancouver or maybe Calgary ?
Any help would be appreciated 👍

Thanks Dave

@Arsey to the Bat ☎️ please!

There is a website in the USA that offers private individuals to rent out their machines. I would imagine same company has dealings in Canada too.

Prince George is about 800km or 500 ish miles. Depending on choice of route I typically take about a 12hr day.
Calgary might be a little less, Not much though.
A circuit From Vancouver, PG, Jasper, Banff and back to Vancouver is a very popular tour or ride. Several choices of routes. Take's in some of the most famous highlights of BC and the Rockies. All are spectacular.
Or If you have a bit more time.
For a really cool experience go north of PG, Take Hwy 16 to Hazelton, (Terrace and PR are worth the extra mile). The Cassiar Hwy to Watson Lake, Join The Alaska Hwy and Return via Dawson Creek Hwy 97 or Jasper.
Several options to Visit Alaska if time permits.

Vancouver based rental companies.

Eagle riders,
They exist, I don't know much about them. I think Vancouver is the only Canadian Location. Mostly Harley's but some others. Only option I know of for one way rentals.

Cycle BC.
Is probably the best known. Although, I have never rented from them. I bought my bike from them. It was 4 yr old.
They gave me good service and would be happy dealing with them again. They have a good rep. They do anything from local daily rentals to organised tour's. Some of the big names in MC touring use them for local bikes.
I found them very helpful with lots of good advice.
Variety of bikes bike available. From Big 4, Triumph ect. Including Late model well specced BMW's.
My bike is a TE Exclusive equivalent. Most are I believe TE spec or higher.
They do have a location in Victoria Vancouver Island, where you can drop off. Otherwise they are basically rent and return to same location.

Alpenpass
I met the owner of Alpenpass Motorcycle rentals at a BMW event. He seemed like a nice guy. A BMW rider. (how I met him)
It's a smaller outfit. I hadn't heard off. Never rented. Good rep AFAIK.
A bit cheaper than the big boys. Nice late model bikes.

Most of the dealers appear to be listed as renting bikes.

There was a Hwy 16 outfit based up there pre covid not sure if they are still around. I think mostly did tours.

Calgary or Edmonton? Sorry no clue.

It's a brilliant area to ride that's for sure.

There is a website in the US called Twisted Road where you can rent people bikes. Not sure if it's in Canada as well but might be worth a look.
