Bike knocked over, now pannier wont open

Just watched someone back into my pride and joy knocking it off the stand, hit it square on the rear, but now one of the bmw plastic panniers wont open.
I can put the key in, but when i try and turn it, it wont release all the way.
It's going through the insurance, but there's stuff in there i need out.

Are there any tips for gettin it open, apart from using the muppet who hit it as a crow bar!!

Sounds like the locks' been damaged.
Just use whatever force, claim off his insurance.
Don't pussyfoot about man it's an 1150 not a 1200.

If your claiming.. go to the BMW dealer or your favourite repairer and get them to open it or hammer time!

move the bike over to the side it didn't get knock over on too, the damaged pannier will not have the bike lying on it now, should open easily then
