A member in Cork has just purchased a 1200GS and needs it transported from my place to his without paying through the nose.

Any ideas?

The obvious answer would be for him to get the train to Belfast and ride it back down. No...? :nenau

I know Davys Bikes in Bangor do bike collection and delivery but no idea how much they charge.
If you give them a call ask for Marty.

That was the plan, but work commitments mean he's looking the courier option.

Just rang Davy's, missed their working hours.

Will try tomorrow.

Cheers

A nice ride for someone. JJH
I know.... I offered to take the long winding road back with him and make a trip out of it, but that's the difference between me retired and him self employed!

Can you not ride down for him and get the train back? Obviously at his expense.

I’m self employed myself driving busses. He needs a specialist company to do it otherwise it risks been loaded into the back of a van with other freight. Usually someone on here would be giving us a name of a company to do the transfer. I’d say with brexet the cross boarder trade in used bikes has dried up. JJH

ccrs do the rescue for AXA in the north, they would know anyone in the business.

Thanks for all the replies.

None of those who answered me could do it within the next week or so.

So Paul is doing the 6 hour train up to ride the bike home this weekend.

Makes sense and he gets to know his new bike on the quiet journey home.
