I did a bike safe course on Sunday.Had to go to Barnstaple as the date was good for me.I live in Plymouth.Anyway, great course.Ive done and passed the IAM course years ago but found the bikesafe course to be just as good but obviously a lot shorter.I would stongly recomend it however well you ride(or not) It was nice to be followed by a copper "SIMON" who was polite, informative and didnt want to book me.He told me my ride was very progressive,I think that meant FAST.Still he also said I was safe. The other chap with me was told to try putting his right foot down when stopped(I always do) Anyway.Great fun.Try it.Non of us know enough not to be able to learn more.

I wanted to do one in the Lothian and Borders area where I live....judging by the rubbish answer I got from the Police, they do about one a year....obviously they don't have too much time for Road Safety Education in this area....:(

Also, you have to go to the Scottish bike show to get on Bikesafe they said.....why would I want to spend money doing that.... :duno .....it's crap..... ....so unlikely to ever get the chance to do one.....

well done you though, a little bit of extra learning never did anyone any harm.....:thumb2

Why not do the Bikesafe outside your area? I did mine at Colwyn Bay last march and the organiser stated that it was open to non locals, you would get to ride some of the really great roads there are down here too, cost around £100, if you look at the Bikesafe website for North Wales theres a contact there for Paul Cheshire, he is the guy behind Bikesafe North Wales and the man is a total enthusiast and all round good bloke, tell him Stewart with the Bright GS sent you and he probably wont have a clue;)
