Hello all. Heading across the pond on friday in the car with the wife and two small fella's. Staying in tenby for a week or so. Any bike shop's close by for gear and stuff. Just in case I need a brake. Also whats the weather doing over there this week?

Bike shop and a decent ride.

If you fancy a half day ride out and a bike shop heres an idea-

Head out of Tenby and take the coast road to Saundersfoot, a pretty little town with a marina and a great Chippy.

Continue along the coast to Pendine where you will find Pendine sands the location of many land speed record attempts, and a small motor museum telling the History of the beach and its racing.Well worth a visit and often missed.

Now head inland towards the famous village of Laugharne and the remains of its castle , and then towards St Clears.

Turn left onto the A40 towards Whitland.

After approx ten miles you will come to a roundabout signposted Left for Narberth right for Llandissilio/Cardigan- A478

Turn right and head for Llandissilio.

In Llandissilio on you right hand side, you will find

Lammos motorcycles,
The Showroom,
Llandissilio,
Clynderwen,
Pembrokeshire,
SA66 7TG
Tel 01437 563678

They have a small showroom and workshop and I have always been treated fairly when visiting.
Dont expect too much but its worth a stop just to look at 'The Ugly Row' and Ask Lammos which bands he used to work for in the 70's.

After 20 mins head back towards the roundabout and go through Narberth a pretty town suitable for shopping by the Ladies.:augie

Continue along the A478 and back to Tenby.

If you get decent weather its a short but decent Loop.

Have fun.

Best Option

As a rider who lives in Tenby - best bet is to call Adam at West Wales Motorcycles - situated in Pembroke Dock

Adam is a proper spanner man - does the job right - doesn't cost the earth - but he's a busy boy - so best ring him first - The Old Kingswood London Road Pembroke Dock, SA72 4RS - Tel 01646 685900

*** Avoid Garlands like the plague - unless you want to pay silly money for a job half done ***

I speak from personal experience!

If you get to Adam - tell him Fat Bert sent you - you'll get a free coffee and a load of bike banter as well

Just a quick one to say thanks for that! had a lovely time in Tenby, Went to Pendine and the museum, very interesting stuff. Tried to find Llandissilio
without using the satnav (Oh look honey a bike shop! mind if I pop in!) with no joy, So instead we headed for Narberth. Nice roads and fuck all speed cameras? Hope someday to get over with the bike instead of the babies!! Thanks again G'man
