A bunch of mates have asked me to look into taking their trailies down to France/Spanish border area next year, and bringing them back a couple of weeks later.(They want to fly down and just do some trail riding).Exact dates/location to be decided.I reckon they'll baulk at the price,'cos there's not enough of them to fill the truck. So I thought I'd ask:is anyone on here interested in a similar service,or do they know of someone who already does it?.I've found a few people who do the trackday transport thing, but not for dropping off at specified locations.I have to say I'm quite interested,it would tie work,(road transport), and fun together. And if there was enough interest I might do several return trips throughout the Summer.Answers on a postcard please....

Contact a frieght forwarder near you and ask for there groupage rates for the area you want the bikes dropped off, give him the dimentions of your bikes and he will no doubt help you out.

I've tried a couple of freight forwarders that I know personally, they'll do it but won't guarantee an exact time/date of delivery, plus if it goes groupage they've got to supply a tail lift or forklift to unload...and then if the bike goes in a crate they won't take the crate away and bring it back for the return journey...hohum...
Just worked out a rough price for the boys to get their bikes collected/delivered on the Range Rover and trailer...WOW!!!...I don't need to get many more the truck on to beat their prices...
Thanks anyway, guys.I've asked the interested parties to see if they can get anyone else to go,I reckon I'll be doing the trip at least once....
Thanks again.

If you want we can ship it as we need to take Para motors down for flying in spain and could o one leg of the trip if you want to split it.

I know of a company (the owners actually a BMW owner as well) who are down at Estapone. I'm sure he could sort something. He transports loads of bikes as well as his usual house removals etc so knows what he's doing.

His name is Matthew.
