Biker in serious distress in cork

They have a PayPal account if anyone can bare to read the thread in bicker.

I'm disgusted by the attitude'i can't rob it so I'll destroy it.'

Scum.

It NEVER ceases to amaze me what sort of fcukwit scum knackers we have in this country & getting worse.

Its shameful. Just malicious. Hopefully someone will throw the scum to the dogs.

( If that couple were 'mericans there'd be uproar on media :barf )

Bikers travelling to Ireland really need to start checking where to stay when visiting any part of Ireland.

Ive seen foreign bikes parked in the craziest of places in Dublin and surrounding, oblivious to where they are. You would think where they are staying would warn them.

Ireland turned into a sh!t hole for this sort of thing. Its random but its happening.

So as per the last tourist guy who was robbed of everything, if you see a foreign bike, put them wide.

Sorry to hear about the theft and all that but what's with the Paypal account thing ?

Was the bike not insured?

Wheather it was insured or not I doubt they will get him back on the road to continue the trip. This is not the first time this has happend here in Ireland. JJH

The newly arrived Greek bloke opposite left his Suzuki Van-Van thing parked (unsecured) outside every night. I suggested to him that, in London E1, he might be better served putting it away in his perfectly good garage but he decided to ignore me. As sure as eggs are eggs.....

Fortunately plod recovered it, with just the ignition lock screwdrivered.

Oddly, he's forgotten his close encounter and has now taken up leaving it outside again. I think I'll nick it.

I'm glad you don't have my address. Yes if that's the case a collection to send him home on Ryanair is as far as I would go. Sad isn't it. JJH

Yes he has sufferd and I would be prepared to help him get home. What more should one do? Do you know if the bike is repairable? Or what? JJH

The bike was destroyed tarka and the Greek insurance companies don't cover that apparently.

In twrms of the PayPal account, it's out in the open to let people contribute a few quid to help pay to get them the hell out of dodge.

He was on the Joe Duffy show yesterday.
He's decided to go home, even though he's been offered bikes to continue his journey. He didn't feel comfortable riding someone else's bike.
He feels well supported by the bike community here, apparently.
He said the guards aren't confident of finding the culprits, even though they have it on cctv. :nenau

The guy is home now and from biker.ie thread, it looks like he has gotten a lot of support.

Re Greek insurance, he is not covered for anything like this, their insurance policies seem minimal.

Sh1t situation, how would you feel if you were away and woke up to find your bike thrashed and at the bottom of a canal. Shameful kip.

I thought you were referring to the same guy. JJH
