After a lot of excellent advice from this forum I replaced my clutch, putting the frame back together was a bit tricky but I eventually got there. The problem is after putting gear sensor, starter motor, carbs I seem to have an extra wiring plug. I thought I had taken enough photos as I was breaking the bike down - but obviously didn't.

The extra plug breaks from the wiring loom on the right hand side (looking from the front) just above the carb. It has two wires Yellow/Brown and Blue/Green, could anyone say what this plug is for and where it needs to plug into.

Many Thanks

air temp sensor on the airbox ?

Thanks for getting back to me.

The problem is that lead dosn't seem to reach the airbox, but one with a brown/white and a blue/black

I have tried to add an photo - don't know if this will work

Looks like that imGe your trying to add is on your desktop, you either. Need to host it somewhere like flickr or smugmug or add it as an Ttachment to your message, sure someo e will give more help as I'm on a campsite in France at moment!

Steptoe probably knows best, but my first thought wandered to the usual suspect, the American spec only charcoal canister connection (not used in Europe, but still dangling off the loom)

That sounds like a good possibility - i'll check it out.

Just looked at my bike in the garage but can't be bothered to undo the fuel tank to reach the connector on my air box so I checked the Haynes manual wiring diagram, the air intake temperature sensor wiring is indeed a brown/white and blue/black colour. Steptoe is right as usual.

Absolutely right, that matches the wire I have connected to the airbox temperature sensor, the problem is an additional plug with Yellow/Brown and Blue/Green wires and isn't long enough to reach the airbox temperature sensor - but does look like the connector connected to the charcoal canister solenoid in some youtube videos. It is very likely that when I was breaking the bike down I didn't notice it, but it would be good to confirm before I put the panels and fuel tank back on.

Many thanks

Is it this square female one in the picture central and just below the ABS?

If so it seems to be a spare one for something. I wondered what it was when I took the tank off for the first time.

That looks like it, square female plug. From looking through youtube I think its for the charcoal canister solenoid.

According to the wiring diagram, the Yellow/Brown and Blue/Green connector is for "Fuel Regeneration Valve (US Models)". ISTR a redundant connector beneath the fuel tank in the same place on my 2008 GSA.
