Well!

I have a pigeon building a wire nest on my windowsill again - Spring Has Sprung in Al Kharj!! Mind you, it is 40C in the shade at mid-day so it is well sprung.

I saw her partner bringing bits of wire to the project site, and she foothers them skillfully into place. It is amazing to think of where they got the idea at all.

Hopefully the eggs will hatch this time.....

I'm back!

Hi,

Would you believe that there is a nest on my windowsill again ? This time it is made from grass, not wire like the last ones. I don't know if there are eggs, but she is keeping very quiet so I think there are.

(Can't rotate the picture to be upright, effin windows...)

Egg-citing !

She couldn't face sitting on the eggs with a piece of wire sticking in her chuff again Bin':D

Bin, what is it you do? (If you don't mind me asking). You seem to be (like me) in the oil/projects game.
I've just finished up as a contractor with Chevron in Kazakhstan, have also done a couple of stints in Angola.

Hi,
Now I have had a right squint at it, it is a composite structure, grass on a wire armature! We have a bit of a Leonardo Da Vinci on our hands here and no mistake. Deeply suspicious critter, I can't even move the curtain, and Iam afraid of disturbing her in case she leaves the nest. Would love to put a usb camera out there.

To answer the question, I am a manager in Almarai Co. which is a large Dairy and Foods company based here in Al Kharj, 100 miles SE of Riyadh. I am a Marine Engineer by trade, then into foods, then projects, now Factory Manager. Great company, not a bad place, had a trip to UAE last week (car, not bike) and it was a grand break, highlighted how lucky I am.

Baby Birdie!

Hi,

Got a snap of Junior yesterday midday, and this morning, Mum is back sitting on top of her / him ! Just see the chick's feathers in the bottom right.

Still can't rotate these, must be because of Picasa3. Bllx.

Thunder, Dickie,
Thanks for rotating, howdya doit? Normal right-click in explorer?
Is it a Picasa3 issue? Seems only to have happened since I upgraded from Picasa2
I can right-click and click rotate but nothing happens.

G'morning Bin

Did it in picasa 3, highlight or open the pic and you will see the 'rotate' icons are just above the 'Email' envelope icon at the bottom of the window.:thumb2

Bin' the bird appears to be more 'Dove' than Pigeon:nenau

Hi,
Got a snap of another chick, jaysus they don't half procreate!
Looks like a duck at this age, but turns into a flying shit-monster like it's mammy and daddy in no time.
