Birthday Present

I suppose this is the correct forum for this. Well, I bought meself an early birthday present today

Always fancied a big Brit single, and this is the closest I'm gonna get without buying a basket case.

Took a trundle down the Ards Peninsula this afternoon, put on 75 running-in miles and loved every one of 'em. Doesn't vibrate as much as I thought and nothing's fallen off it yet

When I parked up, it was amazing how many people stopped for a look or a yarn and I got more nods and waves from other bikers on the road than I usually do on the GS

Nothing's gonna replace the GS in my affections, but this will do fine for lazy bimbles round the byways

I recently bought myself a Honda FMX650. Although very different from your Enfield, I know where you're coming from. My FMX takes me back to a simple type of biking, 60 mph cruising, picking all the back roads, reaching for the reserve tap while still moving etc.

From DnD M/C, Bangor. Chopped in the Serow against it. You can get the cafe racer ready-made in the Enfield range, but the riding position was even more extreme than an SP2
