Good info cheers. For anyone not quite familiar with the area, the large roundabout is on the main route for HGVs between Manchester and Sheffield, which is the Woodhead Pass to Manchester, and Stocksbridge bypass to Sheffield. It's on my way to my employers factory, except I come down Whams Road from Holmfirth. The Old Manchester Road is cut off at both ends either side of the mini roundabout. Flouch Engineering has pretty much replaced the Flouch Hotel of old.
There's a layby on the Sheffield side of the A616 just off the bottom of the picture which is backed up by a bigger car park owned by Yorkshire Water, but that might be pay and display?

Has not worked like i thought it should.I foresee lots of bikermates rotating around and around the roundabout, whilst other bikermates wave their arms or ignore them.
Have fun and enjoy the day
PS Doc, with your newfound MyRoute skills, you could pinpoint the rendezvous point exactly![]()
Is that Wessie ? And i dont think it will be that popular. That’s because the little road is not on MyRoute’s HERE map. When you switch to Michelin or Open Street Map, the little road appears.

It’s relatively easy to resolve.
Place it here:

And stand a bike at the entrance to the lay-by or numpty bikermates will just ride past. This should work:

PS The ability to force MyRoute to take roads that it otherwise doesn’t know about or won’t navigate down is a useful one to learn.

Jeezus fekkin Christ.Me? I just make it up as I go along.
========
It is dead easy.
Open MyRoute.
Select the Michelin map layer, which shows the little road.
Click along it. No black line will appear as MyRoute does not know the road is there but the little shaping points will shown.
Click on the individual shaping points and select:

Then select the little box with a Land Rover thing on it:

This will create a black line back to the point behind.
Simply repeat. Once you get the hang if it, it doesn’t take long to do.
Note:
As you are forcing the route along and the lines are straight, you may need several points to force the route around a bend. I used four in the route I made for you.
You probably won’t get voice directions over the ‘Off-road’ bit, but just follow the line on the screeen.
Have a play around, you can’t break it.

Yup they were there.Check the roundabout.
