A mate is giving me hi sold Blackberry handset from work as he has a new one. It's o2 branded but unlocked. It comes with no manuals or anything.

I have a vodafone sim I can use in it.. now what? Will the vodafone shop be any use getting it going?

;)

Pop into a Vodafone shop or call customer services, they should both be able to get you sorted.
You will need to have a Vodafone BlackBerry email or BlackBerry Anytime tariff and they will need to set the APN up on your SIM.
You can then download a software update for your BlackBerry to get the Vodafone version and they will point you to the online management page at http://mobileemail.vodafone.net to set up your account. You can then pick up email from any internet connected POP3/IMAP emanil account.
It's quite a cool product. :bounce1
Any problems give me a shout.

ta. I have a Data 30 tariff and a voda sim I use in my laptop, but as that's gone belly-up I am paying £15 a month for nothing... and thought they should be a ble to convert that across. Their online customer services said they can (and asked for my account number and phone number for that SIM) but have since gone AWOL....
