BLEEDING 1200GS ABS BRAKES

HI anybody bled the braking system on 12gs abs model,is it a proceedure that can be completed with a vaccum bleed pump and a bit of time.

Carefull doing this - when I first got my GS I did a service, and opened the cap on the bars, topped the fluid level up, turned the ignition on and tried to bleed the fluid through as I've often done with other non servo brakes.

It took a while for me to realise that although fluid was bleeding out of the callipers, but the levelin the reservoir wasn't going down.

The two circuits (triggering and braking) are seperate, and all I did was drain the braking circuit, necessitating the tank off again.

Good luck, but read up on it first!

If you are familiar with the multiple step system of bleeding the brakes on the R1150xx series, it is identical for the R1200xx series. If not, study up on it first. It is doable by a competent do it yourself'er, but there are some specific procedures to follow.

Have done this on my 1150 and from what I've seen the 1200's are not too different. It's a little time consuming but easy enough once you understand that there are two systems as stated by 52blackshadow.
