...Does anyone use blind spot mirrors?

Any suggestion as to best make/position etc...

It might just be your lucky day

Garryc - got a set just coming off my 1150GS, virtually brand new as far as I can tell. Stainless Steel laser cut brackets with rectangular wide angle mirrors on them. They bolt straight onto the end of the bars using the same bolt that holds the bar weights on. Seem to do a pretty effective job but not really my cup of tea - yours for £15 plus a bit for p&p if you're interested. Let me have your email address and I'll send a picture over.

I use them. Got some little round ones from Haulfrauds - I have them in the bottom outside of the original mirrors).

Like most of these things, takes a while to develop the habit of using them, but once you have, they're very handy.

I put them there, as opposed to one the barends etc, as you get both images glancing at one point.

I got some car ones off ebay, they are simply the suction ones for cars which I stuck straight to the beak, just under the screen. I thought they'd come straight off but been on there for at least 3K! (I've added some cable ties just incase)... maybe I have super sticky spittal! ;-)

No.....

Garry, i have the circular ones from Halfords.

They are positioned either side (see photo) and are excellent for catching the blind spots.

If u have panniers fitted, they show the top edge and any vehical :

...Thanks all for the suggestions!!!!

...Brewster got my Muffs today (Thanks Neil!!!) and I dont want to put a hole in them but thanks for the offer....cheers!!

I used to use the stick-on rectangular ones on my Fazer but now I find my R1200GS mirrors are wide enough angle for me to see what I want to so I haven't invested this time. On the Fazer mirrors I mounted them where I would normally get a load of elbow.

Lots of commuting in heavy traffic so I use 2 rectangular car mirrors added to the bottom of the mirror. Wouldn't be without them now.
