Blistering

I bought a 55 plated 1200GS from my local BMW garage 12 months ago and have now noticed that at the front of the engine behind the front wheel the metal silver alloy is blistering.
Is this a common problem and will BMW put it right

I bought a RT new in August 05. Before the warranty ran out, I had the front part of the exhaust (to the cat) replaced under warranty due to corrosion. I also had the final drive and the petrol filler sorround replaced doe to paint blistering.

Just had similar warranty work done on my '06 GSA.

I think you'll find plenty of comment on this site in relation to the engine front cover and various other parts corroding. Have a read and then see what your dealer has to say.

you would think BMW would be able to get the paint to stay on a 8000+ Bike
