Blocked exhaust??

Hi all,

I have a problem with my bike! The left exhaust (main one) doesn't seem to be venting? and i can hear a slight wheeze from the engine.

This all came on when the bike was dropped when stationary. And it wasn't me! To be fair when it happened I wasn't too mad as it landed on the handle bar and the rear pannier which has another scratch on it. No big deal! But I am very worried about the rear exhaust, the bike feels like its running fine albeit I only rode it for about 20 mins. I can't see any damage to the engine or the exhaust? When first starting the bike it was a little smokey but I think this was just from the fuel maybe flooding the engine? It then cleared up within 2 mins.

Anyone have any ideas?

the left hand can (when looking from the rear) is blocked off. this is normal.

why isnt yours?

What year is your bike?The single sparks had a small hole(about 10mm) but the twin sparks are blanked off, AFAIK.

Don't worry about it. The nearside can has a small outlet on the earlier models and no outlet on the later models. IIRC the n/s can contains the cat and the offside can is the silencer.

Ah yes welldone all you have past the test.. of course i knew that.

I have to remeber that this bike is built to be thrown around! Within resaon, but hey its my new toy! Its a 3 month old twin spark.
