Blocked Printer Nozzle ?

Have been having problems with my Canon Pixma 4300 but only on the single Black ink nozzle. When I remove all 5 cartridges, all the colour and the big black ones show a small pool of ink in their nozzle trays, but the single small black one doesn't. It has a new cartridge, and I've checked that the ink is able to flow, but it just doesn't seem to get 'called' for by the printer.

I can clearly see the micromesh of the nozzle filter, but it just doesn't seem to get in on it.

Any helpful suggestions as to where to look or what to try would be appreciated.

Had the same problem with my printer, when I tried Hybrid ink....
Back to Epson ink then no problem. (As judge says, "probably the most expensive liquid in the world")
