I seem to be blowing fuses on my X-country. It's Fuse c, a 7.5w mini thing that protects the instruments, brake light and "diagnostic plug" according to my book. It only seems to happen when I start or stop the bike. I have had the front apart lately but the instrument panel has not been played with. I pulled it today, it's dry and clean and nothing looks harassed. The Diagnostic plug is an unknown element because it could mean anything. There are dozens of them on a modern bike. I doubt it's the ABS because that system has a separate set of fuses for some reason. I have just put a new exhaust on so suspected the O2 sensor but that looks fine too. It has happened twice. Once as I pulled up and once as i pulled away. This makes me think it could be the brake switch. Testing reveals the front switch is not making the red light glow redder so for now I've disconnected it. I fitted a slip on can, the front pipe was unaffected so can't see how it could be that. She had an MOT a few weeks back and the sensors were all fine then. I'm dubious to play with it because I can't get any spares until the morning and I need to use it early for a trip. The front brake pads are low, they are in the post and t is the front switch not working. Surely it doesn't have a sensor for low brake pads?
