Twice since Christmas the 15A fuse - which covers front and rear lights (incl break light) plus indicators has blown. I dont know why.

2nd time was a bit scary. The light on the speedo still works - so I didnt realise I had no lights - and I couldnt understand why more cars than ususal cut in front of me up on the M50 (Dublins orbital car park).

The only things I can thing of that might have "contributed" are:
* heated grips - I had flicked these from low to high on the motorway
* starting (when thumbing the starter the engine sounded like it 'stuck' - and left a relay chattering. I switched ignition off - then on again - and bike started fine

Anyone got any thoughts / comments / suggestions

Regards
Joe

It could be the wiring into the connectors that attach to the bulbs. I had a similar problem with my indicators shorting which was due to this. I would start with the rear unit as the front can be a biatch to strip down.
Hope this helps. PB

I had this very thing this week, though caused by a dealer! They had loosened off the front indicators to replace the black plastic headlight surround and when I rode off as soon as I indicated right the electrics cut out. Took it back and after they'd blown a couple of fuses they realised the connection to the front right indicator had been damaged, once this was tightened up all ok again.
