Hi all, does anyone know where to get the blue touch up paint from??
I fitted some new goodridge hoses today, and removed the tank to prevent spilling brake fluid on it, and placed it in the garage for safe keeping. a couple of hours later, feeling chuffed with myself for bleeding the brakes in record time, I returned to the garage to collect the tank to fing my little angel playing with his toy cars on it:forry!!
What I have now is a dozen or so little chips like stone chips out of it. :fiddle
Now that I've calmed down, and stopped crying, I think i need to touch them up. Is it a trip to the dealer of do Halfords do a very close match?
I'm also after a baglux cover now that horse has bolted........

BMW dealers do a good and reasonably priced touch-up kit if you provide the paint code (somewhere under the seat). At least they did a few years back for a Graphitan bike, when I still got motivated to touch up the stone chips.

Go to the Bagster website and give them a call - I spoke to a very nice lady there the other day about making a custom cover for my (soon to be, I hope) blue/white GS

I wanted one that's just blue - £136 made to order.

She even sent me a free leather sample in the post to check the colour.

Great service so far.

Do BMW do tins of blue and white touch up paint then?

I got some Tartan paint a few years ago, but I can't seem to find a supplier now.:aidan

ps, don't shake striped paint, you have to stir it or the stripes go all wonky.

discontinued

the Pacific Blue is no longer stocked by BMW or Motorworks / Motobins.
I believe that is because it was a metallic non-waterbased paint.
Halfords may be able to make some from the code - Pacific Blue(411)/Alpine White (146). However, their Limerick branch couldn't.
I had some made for me by a car painters who do BMW cars.
A car paint supplier should be able to produce some.
You also need a clear coat lacquer.

Just my luck!!
There is a bodyshop near me that does beemers and mercs, I'll ask him if he can supply some.
Thanks for the info!
PS, I'll be raiding the lads money box for the pennies for it!;)
