Hi, I am considering buying a BMW Atlantis 4 suit for general use, I am also planning to do some trackdays, is this suit suitable for trackdays? I asked the dealer, but he was not sure.

sorry i dont know the atlantis suit, but as far as im aware all track day organisers require you to wear one or two piece leathers, hope that helps.

It's leather and zips together so should be ok for track days

One of the best suits ever, very comfy

it will be ok then, i often take my gs on track days,
the look of desperation on mr fireblade when you go past makes me laugh every time.

With a venting system to make the suit ideal for summer touring

My understanding is that if its a two piece it has to zip together BUT most importantly it cant just zip together at the back like some 2 pieces do. It has to have one of those zips that comes about 3/4 round your waist.

Atlantis III has the full and half-zip options. I imagine that the IV will be the same. :nenau

Excellent suit by the way, only gripe I have is that the pockets are not much use so I use a Kreiga belt-bag when using my III.

Water-proof and machine-washable leather! If anyone had told me that was possible ten years ago, I'd have laughed in their face!

I got some Atlantis trousers for £99 from what was SPC a couple of years ago, needed a fair amount of altering, but are very comfortable. Not convinced that the knee armour would stay in place in extremis though.

They are water resistant more than waterproof, being an earlier version. Very much doubt they are machine washable, although that could be useful after one of those "oh shit" moments.

Thanks for the replies :thumb2, it does seem to fit the track day criteria and now it is waterproof it should be good for my touring trip in Germany this summer :bounce1
