BMW Charger Question

I want to extend the length of my BMW charger.

1. Can i add about 2.5 meters of cable to it without it causing any loss of power/charge at the bike end?

2. Can i make up an extension lead with the Hella/BMW type plug at one end and the Hella/BMW Socket at the other end?

3. Any good sources of the plugs/sockets?

i dont just want to 'CHOP' the wire and add an extension as i want to use the short lead sometimes.

I just chopped it and extended it 3 metres and it works fine

might be a daft question but why dont you just use a cable reel extension ??

The bike is under a cover and i want to keep the main charger on the wall and run the extension under the cover.

it will be fine, its only low current around max 1/4 amp.
buy some 5amp flat twin from most electrical wholesalers around 50p mt.
Just coil up the excess cable with a lacky band.
