afternoon.

anyone else here doing the offroad course in wales this coming friday and saturday?

Nope - Going Sunday & Monday this weekend on a 1200, followed by Tuesday for a day in the dirt on the 800 - :thumb

Hi There,
I'm doing the course this friday and sat, hoping the weather is going to shine for it although I guess it does not really matter! what bike did you choose to do it on?

Regards Andy

Cool - Are you riding down on your spanking new 1200??

Not quite sure yet - if it's going to be snow and ice.............no. If I take the car I can arrange for the missus to take me back home if I break myself:o

You're so lucky, I wish I was doing it again, I was there a couple of weeks ago, brilliant fun, if you're not an off road pro, then it's a great learning experience. A lot of the guys that went, already had a good grasp of going off road and IMHO I felt they were going to show off their skills to Pavey and co.
In other words, if you're genuinely going to learn, then it will be the most worthwhile thing you've done in years!!:rob:thumb

Remember what i said bob "4th gear and hold the throtle wide open", you will be fine trust me:thumb

Dave...........you know that I'm already apprehensive (sh@t scared is a better description) Stop it !!

Looking forward to seeing Paul again though ;)

HRH Nashskye: We do learn things.

I remember you're hubby's friend feeling a bit hot in his HG jacket. He was amazed when I opened his zip across the back and let the air flow through :o

How can you trust some one who waves you past a bus, on a blind bend, with a pack of rabid dogs in the middle of the road (well that’s how I remember it)??

hi ya Andy.

i'll be riding there on my Dakar and i've got an 800 for the course. you?

As i remember it was only a small bus not very blind bend and just the one dog, and i was waving to the people stood there, how was ito know you would miss interprite this as it was ok to overtake, your such a twxx:)

Hi teetree,
I've gone for the 1200gs as i've got an adventure and want to do a bit more with it, so thought it would be a good idea to ride something of a similar weight while on the course, although I might live to regret that. I going to travel down early thur afternoon, probably in my van though as I might have a couple of jobs to do first thing!
Not been on a course like this before, really looking forward to it!

Yes I am indeed a twxx – but in my defence, I couldn’t actually make out if you were signalling that it was OK to over take, due to the excessive amount of smoke belching from your exhaust :augie

andy, me and a few mates are all riding down thursday PM as well. so we'll see you at the the pub!!
