I finished Euro touring a month or so back and the '13 GS has been replaced with a Ducati Diavel and I want to let you know how some things compare between the bikes...
Clutch/Gearbox - On the Ducati there aren't any 1st gear crashes and neutral is easy to find at traffic lights. It changes gear without accompanying crunches. These were the main reasons I didn't keep the GS since in town traffic it was grim. :(
Suspension - The GS semi-active suspension is to my mind absolutely brilliant allowing higher speeds than 'normal' bikes' under similar road surface conditions. The Ducati has actually got suspension but you have to look closely to be sure since in comparison the the GS it's harsh. :thumb2

Now if only the Ducati had the Skyhook suspension from the Multistrada......

A Diavel. Thats a totally different animal to the GS then.

Do you have the Strada or the Carbon?

If you jumped of my GSA, onto my Diavel Carbon, you'd swear that the Ducati was bereft of any suspension whatsoever...:eek
The gearbox is very slick though..:thumb

It's neither actually, it's a '13 red with white stripe. Experimenting with the suspension adjustments, backed off compression damping to reduce the hit of road ridges etc., dropped the tyre pressures down a couple of psi.
