BMW Enduro Helmet - Scratch on Matte

I realize that helmets get scratched over time etc but....has anyone tried to get rid of a scratch on one of the BMW Enduro helmets with the matte paint finish?

Say the Volt pattern with grey and white? Before I test a small area of the grey with a mild scratch remover was compound I thought I'd ask first.\
