BMW Engine bars

Have just been going through with the dealer for a new 1150 ADV. for March with ABS and heated grips.Not to sure about the BMW Engine bars or to go for a different make such as HEPCO & BECKER any Views on this thanks Stewart

I don't rate Adv crashbars - they don't do what they say on the tin. That said, many people do like them and - here's the clincher - you can spec them on a new bike for £175ish - if you buy them as an aftermarket part, they're £400+

What I'd do? I'd spec them, remove them, sell the BMW bars for £300, probably on Ebay, then buy some H&Bs for £110 and pocket the difference...

I just bought an 04 1150GS and despite the salesmans best effort I wasnt that impressed with the BMW bars. I am going to go with th Hepco & Becker bars.
