BMW Insurance - watch that renewal quote. Phone and get it reduced.

Just got my renewal quote from BMW Insurance (Devitt) - £175 fully comp on my 1 yr old 1200GS. This was up from £125 last year. Up by more than 40% and I hadn't made a claim!

I rang them up. Sandra agreed that it seemed a little high and whilst I stayed on the line she phoned the insurers who reduced it to £135.

So, apart from the fact that they hadn't offered me the best renewal price, don't accept the first figure they offer you.

at least you got a reduction, I phoned and they told me that was their best offer!

So back to CN for another year.

Their renewal offer was actually £30 lower than last years premium, but I had got an online quote which was even lower. I phoned them and they agreed to match the online quote. The phone call saved me an extra £35
