Hi all, took advantage of the huge price reduction by BMW for one of their new Navigator 3 systems. Anyway what I want to know is can anyone recommend a different mount such as Touratech or Ram etc which will allow me to mount the complete head unit including the BMW docking station? The reason is simply because the BMW docking station mounts in the middle of the handlebars and so I can't use my tank bag now due to the satnav being in the way. So I thought if I get a different mount I can re-position it plus make it more secure with a lock and key I hope.
Thank you in advance,
Chris.

Cheers Phil, that does look like exactly what I want - you're a star! :thumb

Thank you for your help,

Chris.

Just followed the link and at the risk of sounding like a tight a***, it's very expensive for what it is!

 £143, it's gone up since I got mine, but it is also a different company that's now producing them. It's a well made, quality piece of kit.:thumb2

You can also post and see if anyone has one for sale, it's always worth a try.

Just remember, you now have a BMW and nothing is cheap :D

Bmw also do an alternative at 25 quid if you have an adv if not pick up the touratech gps mount bar roughly 30 quid plus the above :thumb

My Nav II is slowly falling apart. How much is the Navigator III these days?

I thought that they were now about £650, but can only see ad's for them at £1000.

I've got one, but if I had to replace it, I'd get the 2820. Ok you loose the compass page :mmmm and the 2 year warranty if bought from a BM dealer :(, but you gain in that it can play MP3's and Garmin will send out the update mapping for it before the BM compatible version.

I had a 2610 then Nav 2 and the Nav 2 was an improvement because the zoom in / out was IMO a faff. The 2820 has a much better and easier set up in that regards.

Just my 2p.

Is a 2720 equivalent to a Navigator III plus?

2720 is showing on Garmin site as Discontinued - 2820 isn't showing against their "Motorcycle" section, but managed to find it https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=382&tab=sp2820

"Navigator" is not a good keyword search here :(

Let me know if you find cheaper, the touch screen on the 2610 is a bit of a pain as it doesn't work too well with gloves so I'm thinking of swapping.
