BMW Paint Colour Ref & Indiependant Painters

I was wondering if any body can help me out with some information?

Following a diesel spill "off" on Saturday, I am now having to repair my 1150 Adventure, the repair that I cannot do myself however is the repair to the tank.

The leading edge on the right hand side has been scraped, and I need to either

Find the colour ref for the BMW metallic silver, get the paint and find someone to paint it in the midlands or kent,

Use someone to repair the tank who has been recommended by a GS'er - it is important to me that the colour is matched to the original.

Can anyone help?

Think you`ll find the paint code under the seat on the top of the fuse cover , its actually Aluminium White, this might help too

Think you`ll find the paint code under the seat on the top of the fuse cover

+1 on the paint code. Any good repair shop can look up the paint code and determine how to mix the appropriate colour.
