Hi
Has anyone got or heard anything about the BMW Phase Change functional undersuit.???????

Good/Bad etc......
cheers:thumb

Too hot for summer....great for autumn/spring......not warm enough for winter.

It just regulates your body temp..it does it well, but only around a narrow band of temp.....if you're buying for extremes, look elsewhere :)

Have you tried merino wool? Cool in summer, warm in winter and it doesn't smell. Big bonus.:clap

I bought one for my Mexico trip just before Xmas. Nothing revolutionary, but nice to wear:thumb2 I have used it with my BMW Streetguard 2 and it only took a couple of weeks to show wear where i sit:mad: Bottom line unless you take extra ordinary care: Nice but expensive in practical use:augie

Cheers boys.
Just thought some nice 'bikey' gear under the suit would be nice. ill keep looking...... thanks again :clap

Try finding something in a merino wool is a definate. If it's good enough for skiers and people walking the artic it's good enough for a biker

I use an Icebreaker Bodyfit 260 T Tech tops in the winter. It keeps you warm and you can wear it for a good few days withour washing it. I have tested it and it does this OK. It also has thumb loops which help to keep your wrists warm.
I am looking at getting one of their thinner tops for summer use.

I would recommend Icebreaker.
Other merino makes are Smartwool and Howies.

These Icebreaker® garments are gathering an almost fetish type following; with good reason.

I've had had my 260 top for 2 m/cycling winters plus at least 4 weeks worth of all day ski-ing. Smells better every time I wear it; wouldn't dream of washing it.

Well actually, No.
I have a Guernsey sweater I haven't yet washed in 32 years.

(Sir Peter Blake wore his Icebreaker® non-stop sailing RTW for 80 days 24/7; apparently every body said he smelt lovely too.)

The ultra light weight Icebreaker stuff is fine for summer wear up to about 20degrees C only. Above that temperature I'd rather to switch to Skins®. (Also a type of neat antipodean fetish wear.)
