BMW Premium Used

Got my approved used and decoded the VIN number to find out that it was sold with a HP Akro exhaust but when it was sold to me as approved used... it has the standard GS exhaust on it - made sure I got a record of me pointing this out at the time as I don't want to be accused of stealing it (like the previous owner I assume did) when it comes to trading it in

Dealer was non-plussed about it when mentioned, annoyingly the price I paid would be based on the fitted options so slightly miffed that something so blatant as the previous owner swapping out premium parts before trading it was missed

Why wouldn’t he/she, it’s their bike so how is it theft? If I was changing a bike and the ‘Premium’ parts I’d previously purchased fitted the new bike I’m sure I’d keep them as well rather than pay again for them on the new bike.

I have had nothing but sh*te service from said dealership when they were MILL, COOPERS and then VERTU, so much so that rather than drive 30 miles South to use them I travel 90 miles North instead (they lost sales of 4 new bikes to the other dealership, over £60,000 plus servicing )………… so I sold the 800 and bought a KTM 1090
Vertu Sunderland should get KTM commission for the amount of previously faithful BMW owners they converted to KTM.

I’ve been really happy with my 1290 and the service from Teasdale is legendary.

Because it was listed as fitted.
Its fine if the previous owner removed it from the bike & the Bike spec .

Sorry, I just don’t get it?

If it’s my bike, how is removing parts theft?

If I was selling the bike and I stated the parts were on the bike when they were not, that’s an issue, otherwise I can’t see how!
