I seem to have three bike to my name again, and I only really need two (or one!)
I also have a habit of selling bikes that I should be hanging on to, as like this lovely R1150R I probably won’t find another as nice. This is not your ‘average’ example as I hope you can see from the photos? A previous owner had the wheels powder coated and the front swingarm too (receipts available ….. mikeyboy did the spannering). These mods have changed the look of what many owners know is a very underrated machine. He also had the seat remodelled and it now not only looks the part, it’s very comfortable as well. Another bonus is it’s running on new Michelin Road 5’s, and I reckon these tyres are the best all rounders available. The bike runs smoothly and pulls strongly, and I’m thinking that there must be a John Gemi chip inside. I will include a brand new latest version of John’s chip anyway, just in case there isn’t! The carbon Remus exhaust finishes the look perfectly, and isn’t very loud as the cat is still in place. As you can see there is also a BMW screen fitted, which does a great job of taking the air flow off your chest, and a pair of heated grips. These ‘R’ models are a credible alternative to the GS’s and handle brilliantly and feel somewhat lighter. BMW system panniers fit straight on of course if you want to go touring. Apologies for my sales patter, but did I say it was a lovely bike?…… asking £2500 …… viewing near Haywards Heath (40 mins from London Victoria).
