BMW R1150RT is this still needed

the old r1150rt 2004 twin spark,i have took the ecu out as i am awaiting a john gemi chip,anyway at some point my bike has been de,abs,and the abs unit has been removed,anyway clagged with silicone to the ecu is this ,can i just remove it now,or does it still need to be connected,i am thinking for front and rear brake lights 20230723_150910[1].jpg

It needs to be there for the brake lights to work.
