a peg had popped out of its matching socket deep in the mechanism on one side of the chin-piece/helmet gap. I managed to relocate it with a ruler through the gap, it was possible to close it again but it was still very stiff.
So I am now on my third. Pudding basins were never this tricky...
Yeah ... same with mine John. Got so pissed off I walked away from it
