Den,the first paragraph is bollocks,mate.
There ARE rules, guidelines and procedures involved in posting things on this site, and those who act in transgression of them NEED to be informed.
Sorry - I'm with Den on this one. Whilst the moderation on this forum is on the whole, pretty darn good and I know it's not an easy job etc etc - I do think that in general that there is too much mod input. Moderators do not make the forum, the users do, no?. I don't know the criteria for mod choice on this forum, but for better or worse, the 'inner circle' (which is not the same as clique!) is strong here and I think it affects how justice is dished out, or maybe the tone in which it is dished out. It's embarrassing seeing nooobs like this guy getting flamed for making the simplest of mistakes, just like its embarrassing seeing the threads about the hopelessly pathetic rift between ukgser and gsclub being aired in public - god knows how that must read to people not in the know.... anyway thats another story
I not saying that there is some huge issue here - I don't think there is at all but it can't harm to have you dudes up there in mod-land take step back and look at whats going on every now and again..

Seriously, I appreciate all the positive responses. This little balancer business isn't really a business at all. I recently retired from running an engine rebuilding company for the last 32 years and I just do this as a hobby. Its main function is to give me an excuse to spend too much money on tools and machines
