Normal climate my 100 tends to be a tad tempermental in regards to starting in the mornings and takes a fair while before the bike gets in its happy zone.It already has an improved battery and was such a niggling problem that I was tempted to go for a full rebuild of the electrical system in preperation for its next big trip.
Today being a perfect example of the past few weeks.
Go out to my uncovered bike in the garden ready for a play, noting in passing that the temp reading is -5 degrees . Brush off the ice, set the choke and the bike fires up on the first turn and sits at a happy idle in no more than a minute.
Apart from smothering the bike in AF50 and spraying all moving parts, keylocks and cables with WD40 and fitting TKC's I have done nothing to the bike for winter...not even covering it night.
The blooody bike appears to actually love this weather and has never worked better.....is this normal for a 100 or is it trying to drop a hint to actually pull my finger out and do the Nordkapp trip that I have been promising it?
